J-Methods Farming Project is doing commendable efforts to enhance the Agri Produce: Dhaval Raval

A seminar cum tasting event was organized by Abhyuday Techno Economic Consultants, Ahmedabad on J-Methods Farming in collaboration with Self Employed Women's Association, Gujarat, JIN Corporation, Japan and Japanese Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF)

Extended the welcome address, Dhaval Raval, Chairman & MD, Abhyuday Group, appreciated the efforts of Japanese MAFF in enhancing Agri produce. Adding on this, Raval said, "Japanese Agri Technologies and equipment will be useful to increase the production yield and be beneficial for the farmer society. Experiments done in the model farm in Anand has come up with good results. As a Project Management Consultancy of the project, we request MAFF Japan to expand the J-Methods farming in the state of Gujarat. "

The event observed the presence of Takashi YOSHIOKA, Director, Bilateral Affairs Division, Export, and International Affairs Bureau, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF), Japan; Shun HOSAKA, Second Secretary (Food & Agriculture), Economic Section, Embassy of Japan in India; Mansi Shah, Sima Padhiyar, Shantaben Bankar from Self Employed Women's Association (SEWA); Lasang Tamang, Sales Department, Nissan Steel Industry. The event was graced by the special presence of DH Bhrambhatt, IAS, Advisor, Ministry of Agriculture, Govt. of India, and Ex-Secretary, Dept. of Agriculture, Govt. of Gujarat from India.

Takashi YOSHIOKA from Japanese MAFF appreciated the efforts of SEWA and Abhyuday in implementing and executing the J-Methods Farming in India.

Briefing about the J-Methods farming Project, Rutvij Mehta, Senior Manager (South East Asia), Abhyuday, explained the benefits of J-Methods farming to Indian Agriculture sector. Adding on to this, Mehta said that 16 Japanese companies have participated in this seminar.

Mansi Shah from SEWA, said, "Through this project, Indian women are not only getting employment benefits but are also enhancing their farm produce skills. From the seeds of produce to the cooler boxes for transporting the produce, everything in this project is from the Japanese companies using the latest high-end technologies. The first harvest from this technology includes cherry tomatoes and cabbage, which are brought for the attendees to taste."

J-Methods Farming

In 2019, Japanese MAFF started with a vision of setting up demonstration farms to display Japan's excellent Agricultural technology as a package in J-Methods Farming in Anand, State of Gujarat, India. With the support of 16 Japanese companies' technology, products, and service, SEWA, which is Self Employed Women's Association and manages the J-Methods farm at Anand, has grown these delicious tomatoes and cabbages. From the seeds of cherry tomatoes, cucumbers and cabbages to the drip irrigation pipes used at the farm and the packaging material used for packing the farm produce and the cooler boxes for transporting the produce, everything in this project is from the Japanese companies using the latest high-end technologies.
