Annapoorna - ANUFOOD India 2022

From fine dining to pocket-friendly goodies, TGB café n Bakery makes it all

FoodTechBiz Desk

Established in 2005, TGB café n Bakery started small with just a bakery shop. Over the years, that one shop has multiplied and now has become a known name in the industry with over forty plus outlets all over Gujarat.

TGB offers a premium chain of bakeries offering chocolates, bread, cookies, pastries, muffins, cakes, khari, toast, khakhras, and other dessert items. They have also introduced premium gifting hampers, a pocket-friendly range targeting semi-urban areas, etc., to cater to an audience of all ages and income levels.

Commenting about their new launch, Manish Somani, managing director, TGB café n Bakery, says, "We're glad to announce our new range of pocket-friendly muffins, toasts, khari, bar cakes, and sweet rolls, that are both great in taste and price. We assure only the best in the treasury of taste, texture, and drools. The products are also eggless and a great option for vegetarians who enjoy bakery products without compromising on taste."

He adds, "Our recent contribution is in the traditional sweets section. The festive seasons of India inspired us to cater to this section. Kaju katli & kesar peda is our openers for the same. We are fully committed to building more and more products in our basket by looking at the industry trends and demands."

Aesthetic atrocity strikes

Somani believes that with the reset that COVID-19 has brought to all lives, the consumer seeks food safety more than ever. They look at transparent processes and healthy food options to eat. For packed food items, referring to the ingredients at the back is the new trend. The pandemic also brought a boom in internet use, due to which people are more active in video surfing on Instagram and various other apps. And as everything is always rosy & aesthetic on the Internet, Somani feels they value a better-looking food item nudging the presentation of it.

The TGB team is participating in ANUFOOD and is displaying the pocket-friendly range of muffins, kharis, toasts, and sweet rolls that start from Rs 5/- for visitors. Elaborating further, Somani says, "As we know ANUFOOD, it is a B2B platform for the Food & Beverage trade & retail market in India. The broad presence of ANUFOOD would help us expand beyond our comfort zone & the levels of effort we put into our production process. ANUFOOD is a medium to network with PAN India."

Talking about the expectation from the exhibition, Somani says, "The exhibition covers 250+ Exhibitors from across 20+ countries with 10,000+ trade buyers to network. We feel this is a great opportunity to spread our existence and widen our reach for PAN India. In addition, specialized conferences & business meets with top industry professionals can help us explore the current & forthcoming trends & safety measures for food production. Of course, professional culinary sessions would help us up our food preparation game."

Road ahead

TGB envisions catering to PAN India with the food products loved there. The first step to which is getting familiar with the outside world. "We wish to spread our taste of savory and vegetarian chains across places that lack pure vegetarian elements. Our premium range is designed to satisfy consumers' taste buds at a reasonable price. The basic idea is to be the best in our game without compromising our core values of quality and taste. We are fully committed to building more and more products in our basket by looking at the industry trends and demands," he wraps up.
