Naik claims each formulation goes through shelf-life tests and nutrition sampling by Accredited Labs to validate. According to her, Veg Coast focuses and promises to provide - Uncompromised Taste; Perfectly safe and enjoyable products for Kids; Use of only Natural ingredients like fresh fruits, pure cocoa, rock salt, khandsari (raw unprocessed) sugar, etc in its products; High shelf life without use of artificial preservatives; No Artificial flavors, colors, preservatives or stabilizers; Made in small batches for ensuring quality; Use of only 100% Bio-degradable or re-usable packaging; and Zero use of plastics.

Keeping up with trends

According to Naik, health without compromising on taste has become a trend nowadays and has influenced many consumers. “Through the internet now everyone knows about health and nutrition aspects. Also, people want to be sure of the ingredients and their sourcing. The new consumer has many readily available options at his disposal at the touch of a fingertip. This has resulted in a highly competitive market, in which F&B players focusing on quality and specialty foods stand to benefit the most.”

Veg Coast is participating at Annapoorna – ANUFOOD India 2022 from 14 to 16 September at BEC, Mumbai, with high hopes and looking forward to meeting its prospective customers. She adds, “Platforms like ANUFOODS help startups like us provide direct access to a large market of supermarkets, restaurants, hotels, etc., and also spread awareness in people for moving to a healthier lifestyle. As a new startup, platforms like Anufood introduce us to the food industry and help us introduce our idea and vision to them.”

The company will display its niche, including only 100% natural products. Naik informs that they also plan to have tasting sessions with prospective clients. All the in-production items will be available for tasting. The product range on display at ANUFOOD will include Jams - Apple Cinnamon, Pineapple, Pineapple Apple, Guava, Amla Health, Mango; Chocolate Walnut Fudge & Chocolate Almond Fudge; Imli-Khajur Chutney & Tomato Ketchup.

She comments on the expectations from the show, “Our objective is to get introduced to the maximum number of prospective clients from the industry, introduce our products, and share our samples with them. Ideally, close some of the prospects.”

She shares the company’s vision, "Our vision is to make maximum consumers shift to foods with natural ingredients and eliminate the use of food with chemicals and preservatives.”

The company is soon to go live on Amazon, Big-Basket, and Qtrove is also scouting premises for a new manufacturing setup, testing different recipes for new products, and streamlining of the supply chain. The goal is to reach desired market segments, including conscious parents, Natural Food Stores, Restaurants & Bakeries, Star Hotels, Supermarkets, and Dessert Shops.
