DAY 2 of 15th edition of ANUTEC – International Foodtec India 2021 witnessed a huge footfall of visitors from all food and beverage industry segments. The day summed up as full of spirit with content exhibitors, enthusiastic industry personnel, technical seminars, live demonstrations, thought-provoking sessions from industry stalwarts, and happy visitors.

IFCA Star Awards 2021 and seminar

The Indian Flexible Packaging & Folding Carton Manufacturers Association (IFCA) organized a summit titled 'Continuous Enabler for Creation of Value and Star Awards' at ANUTEC – International Foodtec India, Pragati Maidaan, New Delhi. The seminar was followed by the prestigious IFCA Star Awards Ceremony 2021. Highlights of the seminar included:

· Importance of flexible food packaging, sustainability, and the social & environmental responsibilities of packaging industry stakeholders and brand owners

· Importance of good food packaging

· The expectation of continuous value addition from packaging

· Food safety and sustainability – steps ahead

IFCA Star Awards 2021

IFCA Star Awards provides a platform for encouraging creativity and continuous improvement. This is a prestigious award for the Flexible Packaging Industry, Carton Packaging Industry, and associate manufacturers like inks, adhesives, films, machinery, etc. The manufacturers from these sectors participate widely and showcase their innovations in this competitive event organized by IFCA. In 2021, IFCA received 135 entries in a great deal of variety and diversity in innovative packaging solutions.

Winners of IFCA Star Awards 2021

The seminar concluded with the IFCA Star Award ceremony. Various members from the food packaging industries were felicitated with the awards for their innovations across multiple packaging categories.

The winners included UFlex Limited, Cosmo Films, 3D Technopack, Brilliant Polymers, Cipla, DSM Agencies, EPL (ESSEL Group), GLS Films Industries, Huhtamaki India, H B Fuller India Adhesives, Huber Group India, Indo Straits, ITC, Max Speciality Films, Manohar Packaging, Multiflex Polybags, Michelman, Paharpur 3P, Print Dynamic, Parksons Packaging, Sweet Industries, Safepack Industries, Siegwerk India, Shakti Plastics Industries, TCPL Packaging, and UMAX Packaging.

Technical Seminar by AIFPA & Koelnmesse India

In collaboration with Koelnmesse India, all India Food Processors' Association (AIFPA) organized a seminar titled 'Technology Foresight & Financial Resourcing to Modernize Indian Food Industry for a Significant Global Role' at the event ANUTEC International FoodTec India & PackEx-2021, New Delhi.

The seminar included technical sessions by an array of industry experts designed to excel in knowledge and networking opportunities. The audience got the chance to learn and interact with the industry and subject experts of the technical session through Q&A session.

Special visit by Honorable Chief Minister of Mizoram, Mr Zoramthanga to ANUTEC

Honorable Chief Minister of Mizoram, Mr Zoramthanga paid a special visit to the 15th edition of India's biggest trade expo for the food and drink processing industry, ANUTEC – International FoodTec India, at Pragati Maidaan, New Delhi. He was accompanied by Shri H Rammawi, Hon'ble Vice Chairman, Mizoram State Planning Board; Shri K Lalsawmvela, Political Adviser (Technical) to CM; Shri Rosangzuala, OSD to Chief Minister; Shri Amjad Tak, IAS, Resident Commissioner, Govt. of Mizoram; Dr Peter Malsawmtluanga, APS to CM; Henry L hlawnmual, Chairman NV International group; and Israel’s Ambassador to India - Naor Gilon.

Mr Zoramthanga welcomed the entry of Watergen to India. Also, the Chief Minister participated in the Hanukkah celebrations (Israel's biggest festival similar to Diwali) at Watergen Booth A58, Hall no. 5. Watergen (water from air technology company) under the Make in India initiative will start manufacturing operations in India by 2022.
