France-headquartered Serac is an innovator and leading manufacturer of liquid filling and capping machines for all types of food products, home & personal care products, and industrial products. The company provides end-to-end solutions and is an expert in turnkey projects.

Serac developed the first weight filling system in 1969 with three simple goals - Reliability, Durability, and Accuracy. It continues to meet and exceed these goals by manufacturing highly precise and accurate rotary net weight filling machines.

Serac has a global reach with four strategic business units in France and three manufacturing plants in US, Brazil and Malaysia. Serac caters to the Indian continent through Malaysia.

At ANUTEC India, Serac offered highly efficient technology designed to give accurate solutions. Speaking of the company and its solutions, Deepak Kamat, managing director, Serac India, says, “Since our machines use the technology for net weight filling, we weigh every bottle and then fill. We have highly accurate solutions and what it entails for the customer is that the giveaway is reduced drastically. Further, the most important aspect of Serac machines is flexibility, high accuracy, and longevity with an approximate life of 20 to 25 years.”

According to Kamat, Serac has witnessed a huge year-on-year growth during the Covid times. Speaking of the pandemic, he adds, “To be very honest, the pandemic was the best time for us. We did better than ever before. In terms of year-on-year growth, we witnessed about 200% growth during the pandemic; that’s something. I don’t want pandemic to continue, but it was a blessing in disguise for us.”

Kamat calls the ANUTEC India exhibition a success as it has met his expectations. ANUTEC – International Foodtec India and its co-located trade show PackEx India, Food Logistics India, and ANUTEC – Ingredients India took place from 2 to 4 December at Pragati Maidaan, New Delhi.
