Mamata Machinery is one of the largest manufacturers and exporters of converting and packaging machines. From being the first Indian company to introduce plastic bag-making machines with stepper motor, drive & microprocessor controller and without conventional clutch-brake, rack-pinion assembly, Mamata has come a long way since 1989. Today, with an installation base of more than 5000 Machines in more than 90 countries, the company has expanded its reach to the USA and established a unit in Montgomery, IL.

Speaking about the company, Apurva Kane, senior vice president, Mamata Machinery, adds, “Our uniquely crafted solutions like Horizontal Form Seal (HFFS), Pick Fill Seal (PFS) & Multi-Lane Sachet Making Machine enhances your productivity & reduce material wastage. With innovative know-how, we offer packaging machines providing solutions for your Stand-Up Pouches, Pillow Pouches, etc.”

Kane states that packaging helps brand owners differentiate themselves on crowded shelves in supermarkets. And since consumers are also becoming more sensitive to the environmental impact of packaging and therefore prefer to purchase goods packed in recyclable materials. He says, “We have been involved with the flexible packaging business for nearly four decades. From dispensing food products in loose form at corner Provision stores, we have come to a stage where we see hundreds of products being dispensed in prepackaged forms. Post-COVID demand & preference for prepackaged food has grown dramatically due to hygiene concerns of consumers. Packaging is also becoming more intelligent in providing information to consumers like nutritional value, ingredients aging etc.”

Given how sensitive F&B and FMCG are to bacterial and fungal contamination. According to Kane, a machine designed to maintain high hygiene standards while packaging food products is the need of the hour. He proudly says, “We are one of the very few companies which offer machines with frame constructions of SS material also provides USDA 3A dairy standard capabilities and, if required, full wash-down compatibility. Using the latest servo motion control technology coupled with user-friendly software with enhanced productivity and minimum wastage adds value that a customer receives from Mamata.”
