Distinctive rigid plastic packaging solutions

FoodTechBiz Desk

With an experience of 25 years, Rajshree Polypack is one of the leaders in manufacturing rigid plastic sheets. The company caters to various industries like dairy, food and beverages, FMCG, bakery and confectionary, ethnic sweets and snacks, punnets for fruits & vegetables, electronics, cosmetic packaging, and textile industries, and industrial packaging, among others. Talking about the company, Manoj Mistry, general manager, marketing, Rajshree Polypack says, “Rajshree Polypack has an annual combined extrusion capacity of 25000MT with sales of over Rs 2.5 billion and a dedicated workforce of 200+ people. We also maintain a strong and loyal customer base.”

Commenting on the focus on innovation, Mistry says, “Rajshree Polypack believes in innovation through continuous development. We are the first in India to start extrusion of barrier rigid packaging and have an investment of over Rs 150 million. We have an in-house R&D team for product development and graphic designing that can help in product design to adapt the graphic to be printed on the product.”

Every plastic material passes through an extruder at least once on its way to becoming an end product.

The F&B industry regularly experiences new trends and disruptions that push the manufacturers and stakeholders to innovate and take measures to counter troubling times like the recent pandemic. Talking about how the industry will move forward owing to the recent trends and disruptions, he says, “It will move the more responsible packing and compliant to EPR.” Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) is a policy approach under which producers are given significant responsibility, financial and/or physical for the treatment or disposal of post-consumer products.

At ANUTEC/PackEx 2022

He says that platforms like ANUTEC help them understand their client’s requirements in a better way and reach new clients. The Rajshree Polypack team expects to boost its market reach by participating in the event.
