Corbion’s Supervisory Board announces it has nominated Abhijit Bhattacharya and Karen-Marie Katholm for appointment to the Supervisory Board for a term of four years as of the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGM) in May 2025.
Bhattacharya (who has the Indian nationality) brings extensive global financial and business experience, and expertise in treasury, accounting, mergers & acquisitions, investor relations, information technology, and operations. From 2015 until 1 October 2024, he was the Chief Financial Officer and Member of the Board of Management of Royal Philips. He first joined Philips in 1987 and has held multiple senior leadership positions across various businesses and functions in Europe, Asia Pacific and the U.S, amongst others as Head of Investor Relations, CFO of Philips Healthcare, and CFO of Philips Lighting. He holds a Master’s Degree in Finance and Accounting from the Sydenham College of Commerce and Economics, of the University of Mumbai, India, and is a qualified Cost and Management accountant from the ICMAI, India.
Katholm (who has the Danish nationality) brings extensive global business and operational experience, and expertise in safety, sustainability, sourcing, supply chain and operations. She has more than 20 years of experience working at various large and international food manufacturers, such as Orkla, United Biscuits and Arla Foods. Since 2021, she holds the position of Chief Integrated Supply Chain Officer at Akzo Nobel. Before moving to AkzoNobel, she worked at DuPont Nutrition & Biosciences, and Danisco. She has lived and worked in Germany, Norway and the UK. She holds an Engineering Degree from Copenhagen University of Engineering and an Executive MBA in Change Management from Aarhus Business School, Denmark.

Bhattacharya and Katholm will act as advisors to the Supervisory Board as of 1 October 2024.
Bhattacharya and Katholm will be nominated for appointment to the Supervisory Board as Dessi Temperley and Mathieu Vrijsen are not available for reappointment after the AGM 2025. Subject to approval by the AGM, the appointment of Bhattacharya and Katholm will be effective as of the end of the AGM that will be held on 14 May 2025. The full details and agenda for the AGM will be published in April 2025.
