Leading Swiss-Indian food and technology platform Innoterra today announced the appointment of Amit Chamaria as chief financial officer, Global Operations. Chamaria currently holds the position of chief financial officer (CFO) India and is co-chief executive officer of Innoterra India - a role he shares with Innoterra's Group General Counsel and chief compliance officer Yashasvini Kumar.

Chamaria is the second leader from India to take on a global role, after Yashasvini Kumar, who was promoted to her global role a few months ago.

In his new role, Amit Chamaria will build world-class financial operations at Innoterra and be a strong business partner to leaders across geographies. He will work closely with Innoterra's Global chief financial officer, Jonny Suter, whose clear focus is on executing Innoterra's growth strategy and unlocking synergies through strategic partnerships.

Chamaria has been a part of the Innoterra team since 2017. He has played a critical role in ensuring seamless corporate consolidation and financial streamlining of the Innoterra business units. Named chief financial officer for Innoterra India in 2020, he has been instrumental in ensuring operational stability and growth in the post-pandemic business environment.

He is a senior chartered accountant and an experienced finance hand and has held key managerial positions at Infosys, EY and ITC before joining Innoterra.

Chamaria will be based out of Mumbai and will divide his time between India and Switzerland.
