Marico signs MoU with NIFTEM to boost skill development and technology sharing in the food processing sector

Marico Limited, a leading consumer goods company, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management (NIFTEM), an education-focused cell under the Ministry of Food Processing Industries. This strategic partnership aims to drive advancements in skill development, technology sharing, and capability enhancement within Marico’s R&D operations.

Through this collaboration, both Marico and NIFTEM will work together to share knowledge and develop solutions that will benefit the broader food processing sector. The partnership is poised to make a significant impact on the industry, aligning with the vision of making India’s food processing sector FutureReady.

The MoU signing took place during the prestigious World Food India 2024 event, graced by Ravneet Singh, Minister of State, Hon. Ministry of Food Processing Industries, and Anita Praveen, Secretary, Ministry of Food Processing Industries.

Representing Marico at the signing were Dr. Shilpa Vora, Chief R&D Officer; Vaibhav Bhanchawat, COO India & Foods Business; and Amit Bhasin, Chief Legal Officer and Group General Counsel. They were joined by Dr. Harinder Oberoi, Director, NIFTEM, Kundli, and FT Prabodh S. Halde (PhD), Head - Technical Regulatory Affairs, Marico Limited.

This collaboration reflects the mutual commitment of Marico and NIFTEM to drive innovation and prepare the food processing industry for the future.
