Sona Machinery is pleased to announce the inauguration of its second manufacturing facility in Ghaziabad, marking a significant milestone in the company's strategic expansion plan. In a ceremonial 'Bhoomi Pujan' event, the groundwork was laid for the new plant, signifying the realization of the vision held by Vasu Naren, managing director and chief executive officer of Sona Machinery.

The new facility, strategically located near the existing plant on the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway, will offer ample space for future expansions and will enhance Sona Machinery's production capabilities. This state-of-the-art plant will be equipped with the latest technologies to boost manufacturing efficiency and product quality, addressing the growing demand for the company’s diverse product portfolio.

In March 2024, Sona Machinery successfully launched its Initial Public Offering (IPO), allocating approximately 55-58% of the capital raised for the development of this new manufacturing unit. This expansion is a direct response to the increasing demand for rice mill and grain processing machinery, which has outstripped the capacity of the existing plant. The new facility is projected to be fully operational by 2025 and is expected to generate direct and indirect employment for around 200 people.

The product range of Sona Machinery includes cutting-edge technology equipment for complete rice mill project setups and machinery for cleaning and processing various grains such as pulses, wheat, sesame, millet, corn, and seeds. Additionally, the company provides complete project setups for grain-based distilleries producing ethanol, focusing on unloading and milling sections.
