Disruptive dessert maker, House of Pops, is once again attending Gulfood, one of the world’s largest annual F&B sourcing events, to look for new franchisees and explain its happy, healthy, sustainable treat mission to the world.

In just five years, House of Pops has risen to become the leading health and wellness pop manufacturer in the region, famous for its hand-crafted, plant-based, five-ingredient pops and bars. It's iconic brightly colored stores, kiosks, carts, and pop-ups are hard to miss.

The company took the MEED-GlobalData SME of the Year Award 2022, underlining its forward-thinking approach to crafting a business that holds happiness, staff welfare, and the environment at the heart of its mission. Since the last Gulfood, House of Pops has opened its first international franchise in KSA.

Gulfood takes place at Dubai World Trade Centre, from 20-24 February 2023, with more than 4,000 companies, 200+ speakers, and 21 halls of awe-inspiring food exploration.

House of Pops employs more than 85 people and operates more than 20 prime locations across Dubai, with franchisees now in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.

The trendy company has collaborated with world-renowned brands including Costa Coffee, Huda Beauty, and Bloomingdale’s. As well as having a strong retail presence on the High Street and online, House of Pops’ catering and events division works with leading hotel chains such as Hilton, Marriott, Jumeirah, Four Seasons, Ritz Carlton, and Caesar’s Palace.

Mazen Kanaan, chief executive officer, House Of Pops’, says, “Our growth journey has been phenomenal – backed by loyal customers across the UAE and now further afield. Our products, inspired by Mexican paletas, are fresh, tasty, and most importantly, healthy. Research shows that increasingly savvy consumers love the idea of an indulgent treat that is also healthy, sustainable, and good for you compared to other dessert sector products."

“We are keen to expand beyond the region – and there’s no better place to seek potential franchisees than at Gulfood. As a proudly homegrown brand, it’s fantastic to share our journey with like-minded people and explore all the global business opportunities, including private labeling, distribution deals, and export arrangements.”

Having taken the local market by storm, the forward-looking, plant-based brand is keen to find dynamic franchisees and entrepreneurial business partners across the region and further afield.

The on-trend all-natural brand of ‘ice pops’ comes in an expanding range of fruit flavors, naturally sweetened and made with vegetable fibers. There are no nasties in House of Pops products – no artificial additives, flavorings, and no refined sugar.

The plant-based product company recently expanded its offering in a collaboration with Saba, to release a range of organic Kombucha flavor ice lollies – offered in ginger, hibiscus, peppermint, and cardamom flavors.

The premium brand continues to innovate in response to rising consumer demand for fresher, healthier, natural, and sustainable treats.

Frozen desserts represent a US$94 billion industry globally - a sector experiencing a skyrocketing shift towards healthier alternatives. As consumers begin to prioritize health and wellness, healthier, more sustainable food products are on a rapid upward sales trajectory.
