Krones brings a diversity of technological solutions to BrauBeviale 2023

FoodTechBiz Desk

Throughout BrauBeviale 2023, Krones will strengthen its position with multiple technological solutions for the beverage industry, emphasizing essential companies in its Group, such as Steinecker, Evoguard, Kosme, and KIC Krones. BrauBeviale, a business fair that promises to bring together exhibitors and visitors from more than 135 countries, will take place between 28 and 30 November in Nuremberg, Germany.

Krones will have a stand of around 1,500 square meters, located in Hall 7A, where it will present a very varied portfolio of solutions for different types of beverages, whether in the areas of process engineering, filling and packaging lines, and much more, highlighting the main trends and innovations in the sector.

Among Steinecker's recent developments is Brewnomic, an energy-self-sufficient, CO-neutral brewery concept2. BrauBeviale will explore topics such as energy recovery, waste recycling, and process water savings in brewing.

But Steinecker's solutions go beyond the beer market. The company's long-standing experience in process engineering has been applied, for example, to the development of alternative proteins to those of animal origin, such as milk and meat. At BrauBeviale, Steinecker will show for the first time a bioreactor for the biotechnological production of alternative foods based on precision fermentation or biomass production with microalgae, fungi, microorganisms, or other cell cultures.

Among the famous Krones machines on display at the fair will be the Modulfill HES, a glass bottle filler for beer and soft drinks that operates in a very flexible and sustainable way.

Among the machine's innovations are automatic CIP tulips for smaller filling pitches, which reduces the required operator intervention during cleaning to a minimum; a unit with a dry-running vacuum pump that enables sustainable production due to resource savings (lower energy and water consumption, less CO2 for washing); and optimized filling valve for the HES series, which improves machine hygiene and process times during filling.

Krones will also be showcasing its advances in sustainable packaging. One of them is the LitePac Top, a concept that replaces plastic films in secondary packaging with 100% recyclable tape and a paperboard clip for the safe support of beverage multipacks. The technology, which is already a market reality, is applied by the VarioPac Pro packaging machine.
