Dr. Kaushik Banerjee FRSC, FNAAS expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration and said, "We are delighted to join forces with Agilent to enhance national food safety with a sustainable approach. Since launching our first comprehensive GC-MS/MS multi-residue monitoring procedure in 2012, we've developed and implemented diverse analytical methods for food sector stakeholders. This collaboration focuses on the growing need for food analysis, supporting labs that adhere to regulatory standards like FSSAI, EIC, APEDA and Community Boards. Looking forward, we anticipate significant opportunities and responsibilities on the horizon. The country's growing demand for food analysis is the focus of this public-private partnership."

Samir Vyas, general manager, also shared his vision, "This partnership not only aims at bolstering the supply chain with safe and nutritious foods but also seeks to boost India’s growth trajectory in global exports through technological advancements. By fostering skill development among technical personnel via training sessions and workshops, Agilent, together with NRCG, is committed to setting new benchmarks in food safety standards.”

Through this partnership, Agilent and ICAR-NRCG are not only looking to enhance existing workflows but also to drive the adoption of new regulations and actively participate in policy discussions, thus shaping the future of food safety standards in India.
