Incepted in 1991 by Basant Kabra, Control Print is India's leading integrated, indigenous coding and marking technology company offering cutting-edge products and solutions to customers across verticals. Shiva Kabra, the second-generation entrepreneur, joined Control Print in 2005, infusing the company with new ideas and enabling and driving the company's growth to newer heights. Under his dynamic leadership, the company's market cap crossed Rs 550 crores, and the annual revenue touched Rs 200 crores in FY21.

Control Print is the 'Made in India' manufacturer with over three decades of operational experience in a sector dominated by MNCs. The company has two state-of-art factories in Nalagarh, Himachal Pradesh, and Guwahati, Assam. It has 11 branch offices pan India, an extensive presence in 5 countries, and over 700+ employees, including service and field staff and the widest service network in India, covering 1700 cities across India.

Coding and Marking solutions

The company offers a full gamut of in-house Coding and Marking solutions that include Equipment, Consumables, and Servicing. They also provide customized, industry-specific, integrated solutions to enhance customer value. Control Print manufactures non-contact type coding and marking machines based on drop-on-demand inkjet printing technology and contact-type imprinting machines. The coding and marking machines are used in printing necessary statutory information, branding or identification, regulatory information, anti-counterfeiting information, and engagement programs.

Speaking about the product portfolio, Shiva Kabra, joint managing director, Control Print, says, "The growth of new brands, startups and expansion in the eCommerce space led to launch of two new printers in the packaging space to meet increased demands. In line with the government's vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat, Control Print ventured into manufacturing and supplying USFDA approved surgical masks through its new venture, 'The Mask Lab'. The Mask Lab is only the 4th company in India to be awarded FDA 501K certification for its 3ply mask. With this FDA certification, the company can export to other countries such as the US, UK, etc."

Control Print at IIDE 2022

At India International Dairy Expo (IIDE) 2022 in Bombay Exhibition Center (NESCO), Mumbai, Control Print is exhibiting the following:

Continuous Inkjet Printer (CIJ): Versatile and cost-effective coding solution suitable for nearly every application. Using world-class technology, the NEO is built, keeping the working conditions in Indian factories in mind.

Thermal Inkjet Printer (TIJ): Reliable, zero-maintenance and breakdown-free. A high-resolution printer ideal for the pharmaceutical industry and the printer of choice for shipper carton coding.

Thermal Transfer Overprinter (TTO): Thermal Transfer technology utilizes a thermal print head consisting of individual ceramic resistors that are selectively heated to transfer the desired image from a coated ribbon directly onto the substrate.

Kabra is optimistic that IIDE, as a much-anticipated trade exhibition, will welcome visitors and participants from all across the nation, allowing them to reach a larger audience. As a result, they can expect more visibility and exposure for their products and solutions. "As we are aware, due to the pandemic, businesses went completely virtual. With the opening up of the sector, platforms like IIDE allow us to showcase our product innovation to our customers and other stakeholders and serve as a good opportunity to network with our partner eco-system, including watching out for new technologies that our competitors are showcasing or launching."

According to Kabra, although coding and marking technology is used in organizations across various sectors, it is one of the lesser-known industries. It hasn't been spoken about that much from an Indian context. He adds, "We believe that the trade fair will provide us with an excellent chance to draw the audience's attention to our products and the industry as a whole. Through this trade event, we aim to make new connections, network with delegates, and learn about new technologies worldwide that will enable us to come up with superior quality products and solutions in the near future. This platform will be terrific learning and interaction opportunity for customers who visit our stall."
