Whenever applying a generous amount of ghee to a paratha or enjoying that soft rasgulla today tends to bring back numerous memories from childhood of how at the crack of dawn, our mothers would make our favorite panner sabzi or how our fathers walked that extra mile to the vendor to get fresh and premium quality milk, milked right in front of them. However, with urbanization taking over, time is now perceived as a luxury. And getting that same farm-fresh quality milk products seems unrealistic.

Well, hush all your apprehensions, as Jayshri Gayatri Food Products' Milk Magic is your one-stop solution for all milk products' needs.

Enrooted back in 2013, Jayshri Gayatri Food Products (JGF) is one of the leading B2B manufacturers and suppliers of dairy products as well as non-dairy products in the Indian domestic market and international markets. JGF, since its inception, has scaled up immensely under the vision of Kishan Modi, managing director, Jayshri Gayatri Food Products. He shares, "I successfully implemented my vision and re-engineered my family's traditional dairy business into a well-organized corporate with an expansive export business and 100% annual growth. The key milestones for the company have been our high-quality products and excellent customer service, which have made us a household name in Central and Northern India. Along with our continuous opportunities in the export market and acceptance of our products in the Indian and foreign markets."

Array of products for consumers to choose from

Offering a diverse range of dairy and ready-to-eat products to cater to B2B and B2C consumers. JGF Milk Magic's dairy product basket includes skimmed and whole milk powder, allowing customers to choose the best option. It also provides a variety of paneer, ghee, butter, and milk powder options, catering to different tastes, preferences, and dietary requirements. In addition to traditional dairy products, JGF Milk Magic also offers a wide variety of casein products for B2B consumers, which are known for their high protein content and nutritional benefits. The company's casein products are suitable for athletes, bodybuilders, and anyone looking to increase their protein intake.

Further adding to the wide range of JGF Milk Magic products, it also has a range of ready-to-eat sweets and snacks for B2C consumers, which are perfect for those looking for a quick and convenient snack option. These ready-to-eat products are made using high-quality ingredients and are available in various flavors and formats.

"We started the export business with the flagship product paneer, and today we are exporting cheese, butter, skimmed milk powder, and other value-added products to various countries. Over the years, we expanded the portfolio to non-dairy products and have grown our exports to over 20 countries globally," Modi adds.

No compromise, only the best quality

At JGF Milk Magic, quality and product availability are the top priorities. The milk is procured directly from farmers at the village level while providing support to farmers through elite provisions such as veterinary services and top-quality cattle feed to ensure the health of their cattle. This, in turn, helps to produce high-quality milk that meets the company's standards.

The company's manufacturing plants are equipped with the latest technology in the dairy industry, ensuring that the products produced meet the highest global standards of quality. The milk is thoroughly tested for any signs of adulteration before it is accepted for production. The company has multiple dairy technologists working with them to ensure the quality of milk and milk products and has advanced labs and testing facilities to carry out these tests.

Modi shares, "Our team of experts works diligently to ensure that the quality, quantity, and demand of the products are met promptly. The company regularly conducts quality checks and ensures that the products are safe for consumption. Our facilities also get regularly inspected to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations. Overall, given our superior international quality product, we've kept the at a reasonable rate."

Ready to knock on your doorstep soon

With many trends taking over the current urbanized population, Modi shares how JGF Magic Milk tackles these new risen needs. "There are many diet fads that have come and gone over the years. These short-term trends or fads only cater to a very small percentage of consumers."

Modi believes there has been a significant shift in the dairy segment, from loose or unbranded to the packed segment, as consumers have become increasingly conscious about hygiene and safety as an impact of the covid pandemic. Moreover, the Prime Minister's 'vocal for local' vision has added further impetus. It has created wider acceptance amongst consumers to try local brands, thereby boosting Regional Indian Manufacturers. The outlook for the dairy sector in India continues to be favorable on the back of government support, increasing population, per capita consumption, and expenditure on value-added products.

Regarding the layout for doorstep delivery, Modi shares, "We are already evaluating the best way to implement this idea while ensuring minimal effort without compromising on the delivery time and quality of the products. We are looking for ways to optimize the process and minimize any potential issues that may arise in servicing the last mile of the customer's journey."

Catering for the future

JGF Milk Magic is currently focusing on expanding its reach in the international market, with a primary focus on exports. The immediate step is to establish itself in the European and United States markets.

Sharing in detail, Modi says, "We are confident that our high-quality products and reputation for excellence will be well-received in these markets. We have already received certifications, are compliant with the regulations required to export our products to these countries, and are building relationships with potential partners and distributors. On the domestic business front, we already enjoy a strong market presence in Central India and would like to be recognized as a leader in the Indian dairy industry. We have recently expanded our manufacturing capacity by setting up a new plant in Kanpur District - Village Kumbhi, by investing INR 150 crores. The new unit -JGF Industries, has been set up on 14 acres of land and will employ about 500 people to run the plant at full capacity."

Message for all budding entrepreneurs

“The dairy industry is expanding as more and more efforts are being made to organize this unorganized market. Dairy products are a necessity for many people, and as a result, the demand for these products is expected to continue to increase over time. I would like to encourage the younger generation to pursue their career or invest in this industry to make it even better for future generations. The dairy business is profitable and supports many humble farmers, nourishing the nation. With the increasing awareness of the importance of healthy food and the growing demand for organic and locally sourced products, young people have many opportunities to positively impact the dairy industry. With the right set of skills and dedication, one can help to ensure that the dairy industry continues to thrive and provide nutritious food for generations to come,” Modi concludes.
