Johnnie Walker, the world’s Number One Scotch Whisky brand, has unveiled a new collector’s, limited-edition bottle of its Black Label variant that uses art and innovative technology to bring alive the beauty of India. Designed by acclaimed visual designer and muralist Shilo Shiv Suleman, Johnnie Walker’s collaboration with the artist celebrates the brand’s continued efforts to recognize young talents and provide them a platform to showcase their work to the world.

The new bottle showcases Shilo’s vivid vision of Delhi through a bespoke piece of artwork - the limited-edition release of Johnnie Walker Black Label. The designs are brought to life on the bottle using AIR-INK technology which convert pollution into ink. The collaboration with Graviky Labs, the originator of Air-Ink technology, is part of a wider initiative from Johnnie Walker to partner with creators with bold voices who have a story to tell.

Shweta Jain, chief business development officer, Premium Luxury, said, “Johnnie Walker Air Ink collaboration is part of a wider global initiative to partner with innovators who are taking progressive steps towards bringing new, sustainable technologies to life. In this collectible limited edition, our bottle itself becomes the platform for a pioneering creator like Shilo to express what makes Delhi unique for her – joint up with Air Ink what has come out is a progressive manifestation of innovation and art. “

Acclaimed Indian visual artist and muralist Shilo Shiv Suleman says, “This collector’s edition is an interpretation of India’s capital city. I have brought the past of winding ancient alleys together with a vivid vision of a freer future, all symbolized by women walking through the streets of Delhi as brave explorers. It felt like I was immortalizing history and the future city we all hope to see It serves as a reminder never to stand still, always keeping an eye on the future and our imagination. These ideas inspired me to create my dream, illustrated in Air-Ink, which reminds us that the detritus our cities produce can be reclaimed and alchemized into something beautiful.”

Only 2500 bottles of the Johnnie Walker Limited Edition bottles with Air Ink will be available at select outlets across India. The 700ml bottle carries a 40% ABV and has been priced at a premium. Inside the bottle is the same famous Johnnie Walker Black Label whisky - a bold and vibrant Scotch loaded with layers of smooth and delicious big flavor all proudly on show - creamy toffee, rich, sweet fruit, and spicy vanilla, all wrapped in sweet smoke.
