ALPLA has been awarded a gold medal by EcoVadis. The award recognizes the company's overall high level of sustainability maturity, as well as the numerous internal sustainability developments that have taken place in recent years.

Reliable sustainability rating

EcoVadis is one of the world's largest and most trusted providers of corporate sustainability ratings. Major global companies, including many of ALPLA's business partners, use the EcoVadis ratings to present their sustainability practices and seek feedback on potential areas for improvement in various areas such as climate change, water and waste management, labour and human rights, business ethics and sustainable procurement. The holistic yet easy-to-understand interpretation of a company's sustainability performance through EcoVadis is the main reason why ALPLA's top customers rely so heavily on this rating, and why ALPLA also requires its suppliers to comply with EcoVadis.

Cross-functional collaboration

ALPLA has been using EcoVadis for more than a decade, and after its score has deteriorated in the last two years, it is now back on track with the gold medal. Miklos Toth, Head of Sustainability at ALPLA, said: "This is the clear result of structured and continuous cross-functional collaboration within ALPLA, driving the sustainability agenda in terms of policy development, target setting, implementation of relevant actions and reporting." In fact, many different parts of the company contributed to the excellent result of this year's assessment.
