Established in 1993, Ice Make provides customized cooling solutions to diverse clients across a wide range of industries. It operates under four key business verticals: cold room, commercial refrigeration, industrial refrigeration, and transport refrigeration. It had a humble beginning trying to fulfill the requirements of refrigeration equipment, from its production to its after-sales service.

The company operates under its brand name “Ice-Make” as well as under brand name “Bharat” and “TransFreez” through its wholly owned subsidiary company Bharat Refrigerations.

Innovation and customized solutions

Ice Make has an independent research and development (R&D) center with a separate R&D team for innovation and development, which plays a crucial role in achieving innovations. Besides products, the company also focuses on developing many efficient production processes to maximize yield and minimize costs.

Ice Make provides an innovative dehumidification base drying solution for flowers, herbs, vegetables, fruits, and food products. Darji informs, “We offer customized solutions of vacuum freeze dryer for the premium category end product.”

The pandemic and changing consumption patterns

Darji believes that the F&B industry is the largest sector of the global economy and owing to the pandemic, changing consumption patterns and preferences have been observed. She adds, “The food industry has expanded. There is a day-to-day increase in the requirement for basic needs, leading to ample opportunities for work. Our organization is making all efforts to encourage people across the value chain.”

Participating in ANUTEC- International FoodTec India 2022

The Ice Make team is eagerly waiting to participate in ANUTEC- International FoodTec India 2022 from 14 to 16 September to exhibit their products before a wide range of stakeholders, visitors, and decision-makers in the F&B industry. It will display its machinery-related dehydration equipment, Heat Pump Food Dehydrator & Freeze Dryer, and dehydrated sample at the event.

As per Darji, at the event, Ice Make will get an opportunity to connect with valuable clients & networks, which will help boost its business model and uplift dehydration technology.

Insights into future plans

Darji told us that Ice Make aims to help the development of the Indian economy by converting agriculture losses to economic benefits by reducing fruit & vegetable losses. She adds, “We want to develop new value-added farm products and generate new sources of income for the farmer. We also wish to help turn malnutrition into nutrition.”
