Heat and Control and Ishida have a long-standing partnership of about 65 years. Heat and Control is involved in manufacturing equipment for food and snack process lines, whereas Ishida provides complete packaging solutions and is a world leader, making them a good symbiotic relationship. Both companies supply 85% of the potato chips manufacturing plants.
Heat and Control customize machinery for its clients as per their products and requirements. Ishida has to offer its clients: Multihead Weighers, Packing Machines and Inspection Systems to ensure the quality of the finished products. At Inter FoodTech, Ishida Machines were displayed for the visitors, including multi-head weighers and the factory automation solutions.
According to the spokesperson, Venkatesha Parthasarthy, national sales manager, Heat and Control, “There are quite a few areas in which R&D and innovations are taking place. The current push is towards automation which has been accelerated due to the pandemic and the need to grow hygiene. So sourcing raw materials for the finished products, such as a samosa, has worked towards reaching the product with minimal human contact. With the packing machines, developments in speed, efficiency and storage are key; where we used to produce about 90 packets a minute, we can now finish about 120 approximately.”
“Inter Foodtech, Snack & Bake Tec, and Pac Mech Ex 2022 exhibitions have been surprisingly good. The organizers have been quite personal in their approach to the business. So they have been able to connect across to the industry. We are seeing a lot of inquiries and customers coming, which was a pleasant surprise.”
