NASSCOM Centre of Excellence (CoE) for IoT & AI – a joint initiative of MeitY, GoI and Karnataka Government signed an MoU with Atal Incubation Centre - Southern Regional Station - National Dairy Research Institute Foundation (AIC-SRS-ICAR-NDRI Foundation). This marked the beginning of a unique collaboration that aims to leverage cutting-edge technologies like IoT, AI, machine learning, and other deep tech domains to enhance dairy production, dairy processing, quality assurance, and market growth of the dairy sector.

The Atal Incubation Centre was established in association with Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog, Government of India by the Southern Regional Station, NDRI, Bengaluru. ICAR-NDRI Bengaluru - a 99-year-old organization – is a pioneer in the dairy sector research in India.

The MoU has established an overarching framework under which both the organizations have agreed on encouraging innovation quotient in the dairy sector. Nikhil Muppavarapu, CEO AIC-SRS-NDRI, and Sanjeev Malhotra, chief executive officer, NASSCOM Center of Excellence IoT & AI exchanged copies of the MoU after signing it.

This initiative will endeavor to bring incubatees, startups, and researchers in collaboration, stimulating a co-creation culture to drive innovation in the dairy industry. The association intends to support startups and dairypreneurship by conferring joint mentoring, access to infrastructure and data, and organizing innovation challenges and lighthouse projects focusing on solving problem statements, providing them a platform to promote and showcase their innovative approaches.

In the past decades, we have seen a tremendous advancement in the agricultural and dairy sectors., AIC-SRS-ICAR-NDRI Foundation aspires to integrate AI and machine learning in devising Make-in-India technology solutions that will empower the farmers of both the semi-urban and rural provinces of India to perceive an upturn in the economy, productivity, and business. NASSCOM CoE is delighted to join hands with AIC-SRS-ICAR-NDRI Foundation to encourage innovation and digital transformation and adoption for the development of the dairy sector.
